The sports infrastructure of the Kaluga Region is developing rapidly. In 2009, one of such "discoveries" was the first wakeboarding club in Kaluga – "Gagarin", located on the shore of the Yachensky Reservoir.
Wakeboarding is one of the developing extreme water-skiing sports. It includes many elements of other sports, such as water-skiing, surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding. In wakeboarding, the rider is towed behind a motorboat with a special elastic rope. Using the wave the boat leaves behind (its wake), the rider can perform a variety of acrobatic tricks, the complexity of which depends only on the rider’s imagination and skill.
Previously, only residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg could afford this type of extreme sport. But thanks to the suitable natural landscape and the presence of the Yachensky reservoir, ideal for wakeboarding, this sport has become available to Kaluzhans.
The main task of “Gagarin” wakeboarding club is to support and promote non-professional and professional extreme sports in Kaluga Region, as well as to introduce the residents of Kaluga to wakeboarding, a young and promising discipline in water-skiing sports.
“Gagarin” club can provide everything necessary for newbies to start their wakeboarding journey, as well as anything that professional riders may need to improve their skills.

The main slope of the complex is designed in quite a peculiar way: it merges with the five-story hotel building, starting directly from its roof and going down the hillside. The complex is equipped with a chairlift. There are several pistes for skiers of different levels: there is a special training slope for the beginners and a “school” slope for children. There is also a colorful playground with a steep slope equipped with a baby lift where young children can play.
Those, who enjoy freeriding, may try out the “Old Kwan” slope to the right of the main piste. For real extreme-sports fans, there are ramps and other obstacles set up in the Snow Park.
You can rent skiing, snowboarding, ice skating and tubing equipment on the spot – the rental provides products from the leading brands, such as Salomon and Rossignol. With the help of professional instructors, you can start your skiing or snowboarding journey in the Kwan Ski Complex.

Despite the fact that “Diversant” (“Saboteur”) is still relatively new, it managed to make a name for itself as the best paintball club in Kaluga with the largest range of high-tier equipment and a great amount of unique paintball fields all over Kaluga region. Club staff can organize a paintball game for any number of players – the record was 79 people playing at once!
The club offers help in organizing both modest mini-tournaments for coworkers and serious multi-hour role-playing games, requiring long preparation and heavy paintball equipment. You can even choose the playing field yourself – as long as it meets the safety regulations. The main task of the club remains, of course, to provide entertainment for and ensure the safety of all the players.

The aeronautical club offers several types of hot-air ballon flights:
Tethered flights — in this case, a securely attached to the ground balloon smoothly lifts passengers to a height of up to 50 meters and gently lowers them to the ground.
Free flights — an untethered hot-air balloon may lift you up to 1 kilometer hight.
