Biosphere Ecopark
The Biosphere Zoo is located on the right bank of the Oka river, separating Kaluga in two. Its collection of animals is the largest in the city – you can find more than 80 different species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish, all of which are kept in comfortable conditions. You can find such marvelous animals as alpacas, golden eagles, peacocks and pelicans! Some of them are the only representatives of their species in central Russia.
The eco-park provides a perfect environment for family recreation. Its 5 hectare area is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure and divided into several thematic zones: a falconry, a waterfowl pond, a sealarium with its wonderful seal show.
On top of that, there’s a small amusement park, both for children and their parents. Biosphere Zoo is a common venue for different events. In summer, children can attend the Zoo Camp and get acquainted with the animal world, learn to take care of nature around them and have a lot of fun!

Mir Park
The Mir Park in Kaluga is located on the shore of the Yachensky reservoir in a closed off area with a sandy bathing beach, walking paths, several cafés, a children's playground and an event venue. Here you can spend a day off when there is no opportunity to leave the city.
Two swimming pools were built right in the beach area – one for adults and the other, shallower one, for children. The infrastructure of the park includes changing cabins, toilets, umbrellas and sun beds. Outdoor sports enthusiasts can use the volleyball court, try SUP (stand up paddleboarding; a kind of surfing, where you use an oar to move in the water), enjoy an exciting ride in a roller zorb, on a catamaran or a boat. You are always safe under the care of lifeguards and the security. Those not into water sports may try out laser tag or a climbing course. And for those who want to spend some time at the grill in the open air tents with barbecues are available for rent.
